2.1 When you register with Exchange Locata you shall be required to complete the online registration form to help us use all reasonable endeavours to provide you with information in relation to the service.
2.2 If you register for the Exchange Locata service, your Data, if you so choose may be provided to other possible "matching" Exchange Locata Registrants.
2.3 Please be aware in order to provide services to you, Data will be accessible via the website. Exchange Locata may provide Data to third parties, including without limitation, housing associations, councils, landlords and any other third parties that Exchange Locata considers may assist you in finding housing opportunities.

3. Updating your Details
3.1 If any of the Data that you have provided to Exchange Locata changes, for example if your contact details change or you Exchange your home with another Registrant, please update your registration directly via the Website.
4. How Exchange Locata Protects your Data
4.1 The internet is not a totally secure medium. However, Exchange Locata has put in place various security procedures as set out in this policy. Subject to the provisions of the Terms and Conditions Exchange Locata shall keep your Data confidential. The security procedures of Exchange Locata relate to storage, access and disclosure of registration details. If you are a Registrant your identity shall be confirmed by reference to unique information being a User Name and Password. The User Name and Password shall enable you to use the Services. It is your responsibility to keep your User Name and Password confidential.
4.1 No other parties shall be provided with the User Name or Password you have provided.
4.2 Exchange Locata takes all reasonable steps to require those with whom it works to comply with the same levels of protection as it does. However, the internet is not a totally secure medium and you acknowledge and agree that Exchange Locata shall not be responsible for any unauthorised use, distribution, damage or destruction of Data, except to the extent Exchange Locata is required to accept such liability under the Data Protection Act 1998.
